For those who like rough nature, real adventure and are not afraid of a little bit of suffering, we can definately recommend this 7-day Gobi expedition! You have to prepare yourself on a rough yourney; the route describes a 1700-km circle south and east of Ulaan Baatar. A super decent, reasonably comfortable minivan or Russian 4-wheel drive, driven by an English speaking guide (Russian, German and French speaking guides on request) will take you to Mongolia's most beautiful spots. The sober meals and overnight stays in gers are included. You will spend a few nights in gers, next to a nomad family village, enabling you to get acquainted with their habits and way of life. Along the route you will come across wild animals such as roes, foxes, wolves, vultures, wild goats and horses. You will also encounter genuine nomad tribes with horses, camels and their flocks. Regular stops will be made. Although the driver hardly ever takes the same route due to weather conditions and such like, the program will be similar to the one below...

Transfer to Yaroslavsky station to train Noscow - irkutsk

Arrival Irkutsk, transfer to Listvjanka.
Accommodation in wooden chalet.

Transfer to Irkutsk to Homestay.

| Day 8 Saturday |
Transfer to station to Peking Express

| Day 9 Sunday |
Arrival Ulan Bator.
Leave Ulan Bator early in the morning for a ger camp (or a hotel, depending on season) near Mandalgov (centre of Dundgobi province). ( 450 km )

| Day 10 Monday |
Trip to Dalanzadgat (centre of Umnugobi province). You will spend one night here in a ger camp.

| Day 11 Tuesday |
You will be taken on a daytrip to the most important sights of the area, like the Eagle's Valley with its wild goats, a glacier (in the middle of the desert!!) and sand dunes. Overnight in a Tuvshin ger camp.

| Day 12 Wednesday |
Ride to the desert village of Saikanovoo. Underway you will visit a camel breeding and stop at the dinosaur area. Overnight stay in a ger camp in Saikhanovoo.

| Day 13 Thursday |
Ride to a yurt camp near Kharakorum, the old capital of the former Great Mongolian Kingdom, founded by the sons of Djengiz Kahn. Visit to the ruins of the ancient, by walls surrounded city of Kharakorum. Within the walls, the Lamaists have built the Erdene Zuu Monastry, where young monks are educated.

| Day 14 Friday |
Ride to the Hustai Park. The park was founded on Dutch initiative. When the Przewalski horses were getting extinct, the Dutch government developed a plan to bring back 16 Przewalski horses (that only lived in 2005) to the Mongolian nature, enabling them to form a new flock. The project was an absolute success as there are some 160 of them now. You will spend one night in the park and you will make a trip through the park to view some of the horses from a distance.

Today we will continue our trip back to Ulaan Baatar for a last overnight stay in a comfortable hotel. You will have some spare time to explore Ulan Bator. Lunch and dinner are not included today.

Transfer to station to Peking Express.

Arrival Beijing. End of your startpackage
